Ryan Guzman (born September 21, 1987) is an American actor and former model. He is best known for his roles in film and television.
Early Life: Born in Abilene, Texas, and raised in Sacramento, California, Guzman is of Mexican descent. Before his acting career, he was a mixed martial artist.
Career: Guzman gained prominence for his role as Jake in the Step Up film series, specifically Step Up Revolution (2012) and Step Up: All In (2014).
Notable Roles: Beyond the Step Up franchise, he has appeared in various films and television series. He is known for his role as Carlos Gutierrez in Heroes Reborn, as Noah in The Boy Next Door, and as Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz in the Fox procedural drama 9-1-1. He also played Rio in the ABC drama Notorious.
Personal Life: Guzman has a son named Mateo and a daughter named Genevieve with his partner, Chrysti Ane.
